The Stables at Russell Crossroads
Free

The Middle Tallapoosa Clean Water Partnership, in partnership with Russell Lands, Tallapoosa County Extension Service, Lake Watch of Lake Martin, Lake Martin HOBO, Lake Martin Resource Association and the City of Alexander City, is pleased to offer a Smart Yards Lawn Care and Landscape Management Workshop, free of charge, March 16. Registration is from 9:30-9:45 AM before the workshop.

The workshop will cover practical tips and management methods to maintain a healthy and environmentally-conscious lawn and landscape, following practices outlined in the recently published Alabama Smart Yards manual (see www.smartyards.org). Save money, maintain a healthy lawn and lessen the negative impacts on the environment, particularly Lake Martin! And the first 20 registrants get a free copy of the Alabama Smart Yards manual (a $15 value)!

An Alabama Cooperative Extension Service turf and landscape management specialist and Auburn University watershed specialist will conduct the workshop.  Be sure to check the Tallapoosa County website for details, www.aces.edu/counties/Tallapoosa .   We hope to see you there!
