Lamberth Named Chief Executive Officer of Russell Lands
Russell Remains Chairman

Russell Lands, Inc. announced February 26, that the Board of Directors has elected Thomas T. Lamberth as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. The announcement was made by Ben Russell, who remains Chairman. Russell had carried both titles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1973.

According to Russell, “Tom has done an outstanding job in his leadership positions over the past 31 years. While this announcement does not represent any significant change in direction, responsibility or reporting within the organization, it does acknowledge Tom’s significant contributions to this Company over his career. We are proud to have Tom lead Russell Lands as we continue to look to future growth and improvements in and around Lake Martin.”

Lamberth was named President and Chief Operating Officer on January 1, 2003. Since that time, he has had operational responsibilities for all operations of Russell Lands, a diverse Alabama company specializing in the development of lakefront communities on beautiful Lake Martin. As a Certified Public Accountant, Lamberth spent four years with Hill, Flurry and Co. of Montgomery and owned his own accounting firm in Alexander City prior to taking a position as Comptroller with Russell Lands in 1982. He received his BS in Accounting from Auburn University and his MBA from the University of Alabama.

Tom is past president of the Alexander City Lions Club; former board member of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce; the Alexander City Gateway Foundation; served on the board of The Baptist Foundation; past officer of the local Auburn Alumni Club and a member of the inaugural group of Leadership Tallapoosa County and a graduate of Leadership Alabama. Tom currently serves on the Board of Directors of Russell Lands, Inc.; Chairman, Do-it Best Corp.; Samford University; RMS, LLC; Lake Martin Area Economic Development Alliance; President, Lake Martin Area United Way, Children’s Harbor, Inc., and Willow Point Golf & Country Club. Tom was honored as Alexander City’s Business Person of the Year in 2006.

Tom and his wife, Beth, have three sons: Thomas and his wife Amber; Hank, his wife Kasi and grandson, Henry; and Nolen, his wife Addie and granddaughters, Libby and Sallie. The family attends church at First Baptist Church in Alexander City, where Tom serves as Chairman of the Endowment Committee and is a Deacon.
