Duck Confit FlatbreadSmall Plates dining now available
upstairs at SpringHouse

From the beginning, the vision for SpringHouse recognized a need for a sophisticated yet casual gathering place where food and drinks were served without the need of a reservation. From the beginning, the plan was for the downstairs to be largely family-oriented dining, so the upstairs had to be a unique, fun, dining experience with a more “grownup” experience.

As such,  reservations are not taken for the upstairs (The Promontory) dining. Additionally, SpringHouse includes both indoor and outdoor dining areas so guests can enjoy fabulous sunset views including the stables and pastures that lead to Lake Martin. Upstairs, guests have the space to share an intimate dinner over drinks or gather in groups for a lively night with friends. The menu includes casual, upscale bar food in the form of small plates rather than a formal dinner menu.

Small plates, also known as tapas in Spain, is the art of eating many smaller appetizer-size portions to create a complete meal. This meal can be as large or as small a food experience as you’d like. This menu is a great way to taste the many different dishes the restaurant has to offer. It is also convenient for both small and large groups of people.

Culinary Advisor and Chef, Chris Hastings, adds, “Idie and I often choose to visit establishments where we can share small plates or appetizers and get a drink while we talk. If we see friends, it’s easy to invite them to join us and order more small plates that can be passed around and shared. These impromptu gatherings are how we envision guests dining at the upstairs bar, The Promontory.”

It is also important to point out that the downstairs menu will not be served upstairs, and the upstairs menu will not be served downstairs, in order to preserve the upstairs bar as a gathering spot for adults and small plate dining experiences. Please feel free to take advantage of both dining options and let the staff know how you like the format. Click here to view the upstairs dining menu. It will be changing often as the seasons provide their diverse array of amazing products from local and regional suppliers.

The staff is looking forward to serving you this summer and hopes that everyone enjoys the latest addition to the “art of living” opportunities at the SpringHouse while at Russell Lands On Lake Martin.
