Keeping our Lake Martin
community sparkling

Those of us that live and work on or near Lake Martin—the only lake in Alabama to achieve Alabama Treasured Lake status—know how clean and unspoiled it is. But, we also know we have to be vigilant to keep it that way. Mark your calendars for the annual Celebrate Lake Martin cleanup Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8!

In its fifteenth year, the cleanup effort is spearheaded by Alabama Power's Renewing Our Rivers program, Lake Martin Resource Association, Advancd Disposal, the Boy Scouts and Russell Lands On Lake Martin. Even the Stephens Elementary School does their part through dozens of young students creating artwork specific to the campaign, one of which is chosen for the annual T-shirt design.
