Fall Family Festival at Russell Crossroads just keeps getting more fun. Over the past couple of years, we've added pie (baking, not eating) and canning contests and have seen some yummy entries. So, pull out your grandmother’s recipes for pies, pickles, jams, jellies or whatever, and enter your favorites in the competition. We’ll also have music on the Town Green and a Scary Mary Bar for all you moms, dads and grands.
Don’t worry, the kiddies won’t feel left out for a minute. There's plenty for them to enjoy. Take a walking tour of Russell Crossroads during the scavenger hunt where you can watch the blacksmith hammer out nails, crosses and even knives. Watch the gristmill turn corn into meal. Take a picture of you and your family, tag it and upload it to Facebook or Instagram. Choose a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, then take a hayride back to the Town Green where you can paint pumpkins, pull a duck for prizes and make your own personal scarecrow. (Bring an old adult shirt and pants to dress your scarecrow.) And don’t forget face painting, pony rides, hot dogs, boiled peanuts and popcorn, too! It’s family fun for all ages. All of this fall frolicking is only $25 per family of four and promises to be a great day in the sunshine!

Christmas at Crossroads coming in November
Friday-Sunday, November 28-30
Enjoy a weekend-long opening of the Christmas Season. Friday, after his arrival by horse-drawn carriage at 11am, visit with Santa on the stage of the Town Green until 1pm. The Herb Trotman Band will be providing live music in town from 11am to 2pm. And don't miss the Holiday Art Bazaar at The Stables, as well as complimentary carriage rides all day on Friday.
On Saturday, Old Saint Nick has to eat breakfast, just like you. Why not join him for pancakes at The Stables from 8:30 to 10:30am? Throughout the weekend, shop the Company Store for Christmas gifts from Cloud Nine and handcrafted items created by local artisans while you sip on hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Catherine's Market will also be offering some chances for you to win cool prizes!
