Boating Basics Course
Saturday, April 2
The Ridge Marina
This course will be conducted by Officer Frank Cartwright of the Alabama Marine Police and will begin at 8:00 am. The class is open to anyone age 12 years and up.
The class will run about eight hours with a one-hour lunch break. The boating operation license test will be administered after lunch. The course is also open as a refresher to a licensed boat operator. More information regarding boating education and operation is available at outdooralabama.com under the boating tab. Women on Lake Martin Boating Class

Russell Marine's
River North Marina, along with the Alabama Marine Police and instructors from
Lake Martin Resource Association, will host the Women on Lake Martin boating class on Saturday, April 9. This course is free to all women who want to become more familiar with boating laws and best practices of boating. There will be a morning session and an afternoon session.
