Come on in, the water's fine!

It’s been a busy summer! The lake level has been high. Russell Marine is having a banner year in boat sales. And, around town, Catherine’s Market and SpringHouse have set new records — and, meantime, Willow Point has added more than 100 new members this year.

Lake Martin real estate counters state
and national trends

The last couple of years have been uncertain, and many people have put their life on hold waiting for someone to sound the “all clear” signal. Others, however, have taken advantage of buying opportunities and have said by their example, “Come on in, the water’s fine!” Instead of standing on the shoreline, they are having fun in the Lake!

Russell Lands On Lake Martin Outperforms Trends
Lake Martin real estate activity is more stable than the state and two nearby cities. Unit sales for the past 12 months are down 15.63 percent statewide, 16.43 percent for Birmingham and 25.98 percent for Montgomery. Lake Martin is doing a little better, down only 7.86 percent. But that is only part of the story. At Russell Lands On Lake Martin, we are way up over the same period last year!

Russell Lands, through its real estate sales divisions, (ERA Lake Martin Realty and Russell Lands On Lake Martin) handles the best available properties on the lake. Our sales team has posted impressive results for the same 12 month period. Total sales for our team in properties sold are up 52.17 percent and total sales in dollar volume are up 63.36 percent. And as you would expect, market share has double digit increases, with more than 50 percent of the sales volume on Lake Martin produced by our team. This is counter to the overall market trend in a big way.

The reason for the impressive sales increase is due to a mixture of both great product and great knowledge. The product this team specializes in is mostly property in Russell Lands On Lake Martin neighborhoods or near our amenities. The care that we take in planning, building and caring for our neighborhoods gives potential property owners a clearly better choice compared to other property on Lake Martin. This, coupled with adaptability to market trends by providing better designs and value, makes it easy for people to take the plunge and enjoy the lake.

Difference Makers
When you have golf, multiple fine dining opportunities, shopping, fitness centers, pools, miles of trails and state-of-the-art marinas, it is easy to make the decision to take the plunge yourself. It is also easy for us, when we contemplate providing new ownership opportunities, to take the plunge and build new product.

That is why over the last year, 23 of the 25 estate properties sold on Lake Martin are within 10 minutes of Russell Crossroads, the heart of our community. That is also why there is a flurry of custom home starts in Willow Glynn and The Ridge. There is much to see and consider in new-built, for-sale product as well with the exciting new homes being built in Ridge Run and the Creole Cottage in South Estates at The Ridge.

For those looking for the right location for a lake home, take a look around and jump on in “The water is fine!”
