New Ridge lake homes show off "The Right Stuff"
After nearly two years of planning, construction and decorating, a glimpse of future lake homes was unveiled at an invitation-only event in The Ridge On Lake Martin. A change in the economic climate confirmed the need for homes that provide the “right stuff.” The “right stuff,” as it relates to lake homes, is the “right” amount of space, the “right” amount of creature comforts, the “right” use of materials and the “right” style.
Prospective homeowners want everything to make sense. For instance, it makes sense to have a finely crafted master suite, but it does not make sense to “super size” that room in a lake environment. It makes sense to have a well-equipped kitchen, but it does not make sense to separate it from the gathering and dining rooms. These homes are casual, cool and classic lake homes.
The Ridge Run lake homes were designed by Dungan Nequette as homage to the farm-style designs found at Russell Crossroads. But the rustic farmhouse décor only goes skin deep. There is substance in these structures with quality construction, up-to-date technology and ultra modern features. These homes are more than a weekend getaway, they are lake homes away from home. In fact, we predict that your family, friends and you will count these homes as their favorite place to be.
What makes these lake homes special is the design criteria. Each of the three designs consists of at least two levels. The main living area is on the driveway level with at least one bedroom suite (owner’s retreat) with gathering room, dining and kitchen smartly arranged in one impressive but casual space. All have multiple living spaces on multiple levels — some indoors and air conditioned, others outdoors and covered — all with large lake views. In every house there are at least four bedrooms, each with its own bath, making these homes perfect for a variety of family and guests.
Judging by the comments from the overflow crowd at the event, we are headed in the right direction. The response was overwhelming – these homes are “right” for Russell Lands On Lake Martin. They are smartly priced too opening at $845,000 with deep water lots.
