A lot more summer to enjoy at Russell Lands On Lake Martin
So, the Fourth of July and AquaPalooza have passed, but is summer over at Lake Martin? Not a chance. There's plenty to do and enjoy at Russell Lands On Lake Martin. And don't forget the final, blowout concert of the summer at The Amp!
While you're here, take a few minutes to visit the Adventure Center at Russell Crossroads. There you can rent bikes, canoes and kayaks; find lots of fun goodies and now our friends at Cloud Nine are also making some of their unique items available.
Wine Tastings
Every Friday evening from 5-7pm
Catherine's Market
As you know, wine is something which is best when shared, and exploring new releases, varietals and winemakers is a great way to expand your personal knowledge of wine. At our Friday evening wine tastings you can accomplish both, and have a heck of a good time doing it. The tastings are usually well-stocked with tables full of friends, conversation and laughter. We always include some cheeses and nibbles to accompany the wines. Every Friday, from 5-7pm, we feature a flight of wines. The tasting is only $5.00, and if you choose to purchase one of the wines in the tasting, we’ll apply that $5.00 to your purchase. How cool is that? So, call up some friends you don’t get to see often enough, and meet at Catherine’s Market on a Friday evening. It’s a great, fun way to celebrate friendships and the arrival of the weekend!

Blues Traveler
It’s not every band that’s still staking out new musical territory and embracing fresh challenges more than 23 years into their career, but that’s the case with Blues Traveler. Having long ago graduated from the jam-band underground to mainstream stardom, the iconoclastic combo has consistently stuck to its guns and played by its own rules.
Blues Traveler has eight studio albums and four live discs, six of them certified Gold or Platinum, with combined worldwide sales of more than ten million units. The band’s best-known single, “Run-Around,” was the longest-charting radio single in Billboard history. Along the way, the band has played more than 2,000 live shows in front of more than three million people.
Tea Leaf Green
San Francisco's Tea Leaf Green are newfangled Lost Boys, a traveling gang dedicated to seeking wisdom and experience in places both glorious and seedy. In many ways, this quintet is the essence of rock's adventurous, playfully outlaw spirit, all of which ultimately fuels songs that resonate with classic vibrations, open-ended possibilities and radio-ready charm.
"Tea Leaf Green has been a band for over a decade. We've tried to simply focus on music, just music, honest music, operating in the shadow of braggart auto-tuned rappers and inane teeny bop prop puppets that has come to rule and choke the life out of what was once America's greatest export — rock and roll," says Scott Rager.
The Vegabonds
The Vegabonds formed in Auburn, AL during February of 2009, a combination of two bands and two new comers, and haven't stopped playing since. They wasted no time, and immediately started working on their first full album. A mix of different musical interests laid the groundwork for the debut entitled, Dear Revolution. The album was released in the summer of 2010, with rave reviews stemming from local writers, all the way up to regional and national recognition with reviews in magazines like Alabama Arts and (the New York-based) Relix Magazine. The Vegabonds are currently touring year round in promotion of their new sound. They re-entered the studio earlier this year and their second album will be released soon.
