Memorial Day kicks Lake Martin activites into high gear
It seems like only days ago we were enduring a long, cold winter. But now it's LAKE TIME! Memorial Day marks the official start of summer on Lake Martin, and there are plenty of reasons to come to the lake, starting this weekend!!
Children's Harbor Art on the Lake
Saturday, May 29 - 10am - 5pm
Children's Harbor Chapel area
Visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase amazing artwork directly from the artists. They will be able to talk to the artist and get a deeper appreciation for their work. The setting is the beautiful Children’s Chapel with the blue waters of Lake Martin as the backdrop. Musicians from around the state will be providing music throughout the day, and the entire family can spend the day and enjoy the concessions by Texas Roadhouse. While the adults shop for that perfect piece of art to compliment their home, the children can spend time creating a masterpiece of their own in the kids' art corner. This is a winning opportunity for everyone. The artists get to exhibit and sell their work, visitors get to purchase fantastic artwork without traveling all over the state to view the work from more than 40 artists, and all of this goes to benefit Children’s Harbor’s mission. Admission: Free. Call Tammy Jackson at Children's Harbor for more information at 334.857-2021.
