There is no theater backdrop in the south that compares to that of Lake Martin. Make sure you are on the lawn at the Lake Martin Amphitheater as we kick off our first concert of the season Sunday, May 30th with a little Rhythm and Smoke.

A Little Rhythm
Returning to the Lake Martin Amphitheater for a second season, a group that was originally the house band at Studio One in Doraville, Georgia, Atlanta Rhythm Section. ARS is one of southern rock's most notable and sought after bands. They have had both regional and mega hits like; "Doraville", "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight", "Champagne Jam", "So Into You", "Imaginary Lover", "Angel", "Do It Or Die", "Neon Nites", and a remake of a Classics IV hit, "Spooky", plus a number of fan favorites such as "Boogie Smoogie", "Jukin'" and "Georgia Rhythm". ARS has been a major player in the Southern Rock scene and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1996. ARS released over 15 albums of excellent original material, and consistently puts on entertaining, high-energy live shows.

A Little Smoke
Mix together in a cocktail shaker Black Crowes, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Buckcherry and you get Blackberry Smoke. Atlanta based Blackberry Smoke continues to grow into a premiere Southern Rock band. Over the last 12 months they have shared the stage with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, Cross Canadian Ragweed and countless others. The band recently finished recording and released their sophomore effort Little Piece of Dixie with legendary producer Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts) and engineer Justin Niebank. Make sure you are in the audience to welcome Blackberry Smoke to the Lake Martin Amphitheater.

Gates will open at the Lake Martin Amphitheater at 5:00 pm, with the show beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com, the Adventure Center at Russell Crossroads, or day of show at the amphitheater gate.
