Community & Real Estate
In this community, you'll come home to "a bigger backyard"
Go ahead, brag a little
It’s fun to hear people brag about their recent real estate purchases. If you were to eavesdrop on a new Lake Martin property owner describing his or her recent purchase you would hear something like, “My new lake place has 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and two kitchens. It has a gazillion square feet, 1.5 acres of land and 425 feet of shoreline.” Of course the price would come at the end of the description, “And we got all of that for under $500,000.” Possibly puffing a little, right?
People are justifiably proud with the purchase of a Lake Martin home and they can really get carried away with themselves. A recent story we heard went like this, “We went down to The Ridge and found a perfect place. It had four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, two family rooms, a two-level swimming pool, a fitness facility, tennis courts, a beach with cabana, 80 miles of hiking trails, 44,000 acres of water in our front yard and thousands of acres in our backyard. Best of all, we were able to buy it for under $1,000,000.”
Now the two stories above seem a bit farfetched, but actually the second story with the two-level pool, tennis courts, beach and thousands of acres to play in was actually the true story. Let’s take a look at the facts. If you buy in The Ridge, you do, in fact, have access to The Ridge Club with a two-level pool, tennis center and fitness center. There is also a waterfront park with beach and cabana. Waterfront property owners do have a 44,000 acre lake in their frontyard. And the best kept secret is that every owner in Russell Lands On Lake Martin has access to 80 miles of equestrian, hiking and biking trails as well as the thousands of acres in the Russell Forest in their backyard.
Lake and 25,000 acre playground included
It is also true that there are new homes in The Ridge that are custom designed on waterfront lots below $1,000,000. Of course, there are properties in The Ridge that cost a great deal more, and they should, but there are many smart designs available with thousands of acres of fun in their front and backyard. That is what separates Russell Lands On Lake Martin neighborhoods from the rest of the Lake Martin area.
When one considers all the things you can do here, such as spending time with Naturalist Marianne Hudson, riding the trails with “Trail Boss” Stanley Ingram or exploring the endless woodland trails at your leisure, then life at Russell Lands On Lake Martin becomes very appealing. With thousands of acres as your personal playground along with all the amenities, it does seem like something to brag about. In fact, many of our property owners do just that, they brag about how fortunate they are to own property at Russell Lands On Lake Martin.
“We are from Columbus, Georgia and originally wanted to build on the Columbus side of Lake Martin. After searching that area of the lake, we could not resist exploring the Russell Lands On Lake Martin neighborhoods. We discovered our perfect lot in The Ridge. Additionally, plans Russell Lands had already put in motion [for Russell Crossroads] exceeded our wildest expectations."
