Connect with Russell Lands businesses on Facebook
Maybe you used to get somewhat tickled with the three monkeys that depicted the “hear no evil, speak no evil and see no evil” with their respective hands covering the ears, mouth, and eyes. Companies used to be that way. But as you think about it, most of us have become a little more in-tune to that which is going on around us. Not that we hear, speak, or look for evil, but that we are more in-touch with each other. Look how quickly social media outlets have exploded with users.
The advent of social media — Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. — is a phenomena that's been compared with the rise of the Internet itself. It's been said that, if Facebook were a country, it would be the fourth largest in the world, by population. Social networking entities have created a quantum shift in the way people connect, communicate and gather information about companies and their products. In addition to just being able to reconnect with old friends, these social media networks have created non-stop, 24/7, two-way conversations between businesses and their constituents. And the world said, "It is good."
One of the important words that arises out of all the buzz about social media is "community." Not long ago, Russell Lands decided to move actively into the social media realm by establishing a way for our friends to keep in touch. Whether you're a customer of Catherine's Market, SpringHouse or Russell Marine, a resident of a Russell Lands On Lake Martin neighborhood, or someone considering a lake home in one of these flagship neighborhoods, it's important for us to stay connected.
As you can see by the following list of active Facebook accounts, or fan pages, we do want to engage all who may have an interest in what is taking place in and around the Lake Martin area. We are incorporating audio and video into many of the pages and including content that you may find interesting. We invite you to take a look at one or all of the the pages and if you are so moved, join in. It should be lots of fun and a great way to meet people who have interests similar to yours. We’ll be looking for you on Facebook. Oh, and for those of you who may be “linkedin” or tweet, we are heading there next.
