The Great Outdoors
This Thanksgiving,
"Let's Talk Turkey"
To “talk turkey” is to speak frankly and plainly about a subject. We’ll be doing just that in honor of November’s most popular bird and local resident: the Eastern Wild Turkey.
November Wildlife Presentations

Saturday, November 28, 11am to dark – Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

Stop by the Naturalist’s Cabin for some serious turkey talk. The Eastern Wild Turkey has some interesting features including caruncles, a snood, spurs and a beard! A variety of items left behind by the Eastern Wild Turkey will be available for handling and instruction. Listen to turkey calls and practice your own. Bring a camera and take your child’s Thanksgiving portrait with a full-sized turkey mount. The whole family will enjoy watching a LIVE TURKEY strut his stuff and other Thanksgiving surprises.
Appropriate for all ages. No charge – everyone is welcome!

REGISTRATION REQUIRED! Please contact Marianne at 256.496.2710 to inquire and to register.
